Privacy Policy

TCGPursuit ("we," "us") provides software that helps trading-card sellers manage inventory, research prices, and publish and manage listings on eBay, and operates public, free-to-view tools and reference pages (such as our card grader and card price/value pages). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the third-party services involved, and our advertising/affiliate relationships. By using TCGPursuit you agree to this policy.

Public pages (no account required)

Some pages - including the free card grader, the Learn guides, and public card price/value pages - are viewable without signing in. We do not ask anonymous visitors for personal information on these pages and do not require an account to view them. We do use cookies/analytics on them as described under "Cookies and analytics," and they contain affiliate links as described under "Advertising and affiliate links." Card names, images, set data, and price estimates shown on these pages come from the third-party data sources listed under "Card and price data."

Information we collect

Account information

Authentication is handled by Clerk. When you sign up we receive your email address and a unique user ID, and (if you choose Google sign-in) basic profile information from Google. We do not store your password - Clerk does.

eBay connection

If you connect your eBay account, eBay provides us OAuth access and refresh tokens that let the app act on your behalf (read your listings and orders, create and revise listings, manage promotions). We store these tokens securely and use them only to perform actions you initiate or schedule within the app. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.

Inventory, listing, and sales data

We store the inventory, pricing, listing, order, and analytics data you create or that we sync from eBay on your behalf, so the app can function.

Images

Card images you upload (for example, your own photos) are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage and may be served via a public URL so they can be attached to your eBay listings.

Payment information

Subscription billing is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We retain a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on both the app and our public pages to understand aggregate usage and improve the product. This sets cookies and collects standard analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser). We also keep a simple server-side count of how often each public card page is viewed, which is aggregate and not tied to your identity.

Cookies and analytics

We and our analytics provider set cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure aggregate traffic. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on. We honor applicable browser privacy signals where required by law. We do not use cookies to sell your personal information.

Advertising and affiliate links

TCGPursuit participates in the eBay Partner Network. This means some outbound links to eBay contain tracking identifiers, and we may earn a commission when you click those links and make a qualifying purchase, at no extra cost to you. This affiliate network may set its own cookies and process data under its own privacy policy when you follow a link. Affiliate relationships do not change the prices you pay. Card and price data

Card names, images, set information, and price estimates shown in the app and on our public pages are sourced from third parties, including eBay (active-listing estimates), TCGplayer (market prices, via the public tcgcsv data mirror), and thecardapi (sold-comparable data), as well as community card databases. These prices are estimates for informational purposes only, are not guarantees of value or sale price, and are cached for a limited time, so they may not reflect the live market. Trademarks and card content belong to their respective owners; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay, TCGplayer, or the card manufacturers.

How we use your information

Third-party services

We share data only with the service providers needed to run TCGPursuit: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), eBay (the marketplace you connect) and the eBay Partner Network (affiliate links), Cloudflare R2 (image hosting), Google Analytics (usage analytics), Resend (email), and Render (hosting). Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded images tied to draft/unpublished work are purged on a rolling schedule. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal data and stored tokens, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), scoped access controls, and secure storage of credentials and tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

You can access and update much of your data in the app, disconnect eBay at any time, and request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Children

TCGPursuit is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
